In the pirts my little soul

This is not a spa day.
For Latvians, pirts is a mystical space — a ceremonial womb where we return to ourselves, enter altered states of consciousness, and experience healing beyond words.
It is a humble and deeply human ritual, accessible to all — yet sacred, and deserving of respect. Similar in essence to the Temazcal of Mesoamerican tradition: a place of rebirth, of meeting what has been held, of emerging changed.
I work individually. Occasionally with couples, as an exception. I do not offer group sessions in this format, and I do not work with those who are not ready. If you are looking for relaxation or a wellness treat, this is not your door. If you are carrying something that needs to move — come in.
More than a sauna.
An ancient ritual space.
The Latvian pirts is a place of rebirth, healing, and communion with nature — rooted in Baltic folk tradition and practiced for generations by my ancestors: my great-grandparents, my grandparents, my mother, who carries deep knowledge of these rituals.
Although my roots are Baltic, I have found that these healing principles transcend geography. Through the wisdom of the four elements — Fire, Water, Earth, and Air — the pirts ritual can support profound transformation anywhere.
I now offer this ancestral practice in Valencia, Spain, bringing elemental healing into the heart of a modern city. This is an invitation to reconnect with nature, with your body, and with the intelligence that already knows how to heal.
Over ten years of healing and shamanic practice inform every session I hold. All tools are handmade. All plants are gathered by hand, with your specific intention already held before we meet.
The living forces
of the ritual.
In this tradition, the elements are not concepts — they are active, living presences. Each one enters the ritual in a specific way, doing its own work on the body and the soul.
Fire — Uguns
Fire warms, activates, and transforms. In the pirts, heat opens the body, softens resistance, and prepares us for release. Fire helps burn away what no longer serves — physically, emotionally, and energetically. Without fire, nothing else is possible.
Water — Ūdens
Water carries emotion. Through steam, washing, and cold immersion, we work with emotional release, purification of the heart, and renewal. Water teaches surrender and flow. It seals and integrates what the heat has opened.
Air — Gaiss
Steam, breath, voice, and sacred songs work with the air element. Air clears the mental space, bringing clarity and opening access to intuition and inner knowing. Sound moves through air; it enters the body through the resonance of bone and tissue.
Earth — Zeme
Plants, herbs, salt, and whisks come from the Earth. They ground, nourish, protect, and restore the nervous system. Each plant carries both physiological benefits and energetic intelligence. They are co-practitioners, not ingredients.
The ritual begins
before we meet.
Most of what goes into a session is invisible to the person who arrives. What you experience on the day is the culmination of at minimum a full day of preparation — physical, herbal, and energetic.
Intuitive Connection
I connect intuitively with your energy before we meet. I prepare herbal blends, create the salt scrub, and mark it with Baltic sacred symbols and protective words — specifically for you and your intention.
Fire & Space Preparation
The fire is lit and tended for several hours until the stones hold deep, even heat. The space is prepared energetically. Plants are arranged. The lāva — the ritual table — is made ready for your body.
Intention Setting
We begin by setting intention together and asking the natural forces and supportive spirits to guide the process with clarity and ease. The ritual opens consciously, never casually.
Over Ten Years of Practice
A decade of healing and shamanic work, handmade tools, freshly gathered plants, and my complete, undivided attention — from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave.
Four Rounds.
One Unbroken Journey.
A full healing ritual unfolds across four rounds — four entries into the heat, each separated by rest, cold water, and integration. A complete session runs three to four hours. Structure is always in service of you, never the other way around.
Arrival & Opening
The first round does not rush toward anything. It is an arrival — a welcome. I work with herbal steam, sacred plants, and traditional pirts songs to open the space and invite the elements.
The body is given time to acclimatise, to release its grip on ordinary reality. I watch carefully here: how does your body meet the heat? Where is it holding? What is your breath telling me? The whisking is gentle — warming, opening, beginning a conversation between my hands, the plants, and your body. Nothing is forced.
Opening & Release
By the second round something has shifted. The muscles have released their holding. The ordinary mind has started to recede. Emotional material may begin to surface — breath deepens, the chest opens, tears may come.
A ritual salt and herbal blend — prepared intuitively from Mediterranean and Latvian plants — is applied to the body to cleanse on physical, emotional, and energetic levels simultaneously. Through heat, breath, voice, and song, we support the release of what is ready to be let go.
The Deep Work
This is the heart of the ritual — the most intense and the most significant. The ordinary mind has largely gone quiet. You may be in a clearly altered state: deeply open, emotionally undefended, in a place of release that feels both unfamiliar and ancient.
Whisking with oak, linden, birch, juniper, and other seasonal plants works simultaneously on circulation, lymphatic flow, muscle tissue, the nervous system, and the energetic field. Plants are invited as allies through song, symbols, and intentional touch.
At the close of this round, we enter the water together for lidināšana — floating. You are fully supported, weightless, surrendered. The boundary between body and water dissolves. This is often the most profound moment of the entire ritual: clarity, presence, and a sense of rebirth that most people have never experienced and never forget.
Closing & Return
The deep work is complete. Now it is time to let it settle. This round is slow and gentle — consolidating, gathering, returning. I hold a quality of wholeness throughout, helping your system find its new ground.
Afterwards, you rest in silence. When ready, we gently integrate the experience through conversation, grounding, and reflection. The integration that begins here will continue for days after you leave.
Every plant is gathered
with your ritual in mind.
Depending on season and intuition, I work with Baltic and Mediterranean plants — allies chosen for their physiological properties, their energetic intelligence, and what your specific session calls for. All plants are gentle and used with care. Allergies are always discussed in advance.
Baltic Plants
Oak — Quercus robur
Strength, protection, masculine vitality. Deep heat, anti-inflammatory.
Linden — Tilia cordata
Softness, heart healing, feminine energy. Amplifies perspiration, deeply soothing.
Birch — Betula pendula
Cleansing, renewal, emotional release. Purifies the air, restores and revitalises.
Juniper — Juniperus communis
Protection, purification, grounding. Strongly antimicrobial, deeply cleansing.
Mugwort & Wormwood — Artemisia
Intuition, vision, ancestral connection. Opens the dream state and subconscious.
Maple — Acer platanoides
Sweetness, abundance, gentle vitality. Softens the heat, soothes the skin, brings warmth without harshness.
Mediterranean Plants
Lavender — Lavandula angustifolia
Calming, nervous system balance. Gentle and deeply restorative.
Rosemary — Salvia rosmarinus
Clarity, circulation, mental focus. Warming and activating.
Sage — Salvia officinalis
Purification, wisdom, clearing. One of the most powerful cleansing allies.
Eucalyptus — Eucalyptus globulus
Breath, release, freshness. Opens the airways and clarifies the space.
Why this work
is priced as it is.
My prices sit deliberately above the wellness market. Not because of aesthetics or luxury positioning — but because of what actually goes into this work, and what comes out of it.
The preparation alone takes a full day. Plants are gathered by hand, with your specific intention already held before we meet. All tools are handmade. The fire is tended for hours. The session itself is physically and energetically consuming in a way that cannot be replicated across multiple clients in a day.
I bring over ten years of healing and shamanic practice to every session. I work with what you are actually carrying — not a generic protocol. And I give you my complete, undivided attention from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave.
This is not parenia. This is not a whisking session at a wellness spa. This is a ritual — one that takes real preparation, real skill, and genuine commitment from both of us. Treat yourself and this work with respect, and it will meet you where you need it most.
